WATCH: IS hands out candy to celebrate ‘downing’ of Russian plane

The Islamic State terror group published a video this week showing its members handing out candy to celebrate the Russian plane crash on Saturday in Sinai, for which the group claims responsibility, and issuing more threats against Russia.

All 224 people on board the aircraft headed from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg were killed, the majority of them Russian vacationers.

The claims of responsibility were dismissed by Russia and Egypt, but others — notably including the US and the UK — have said there are strong indications an explosive device caused the plane to crash.

British Prime Minister David Cameron said Thursday that it looks “increasingly likely” that the plane was brought down by a bomb.

In a video titled “The downing of the Russian plane — revenge for our people in Syria,” set to what sounds like an Acapella track, members of the group are seen handing out flyers and candy to an audience gathered in some sort of venue.

Candies and flyers are also handed out to people in the street and in passing cars.

The video, provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute, then cuts to five men kneeling on grass and facing the camera directly.

The young man in the middle, who appears to be a foreigner speaking Arabic with a Russian accent, addresses the camera, congratulating his “brothers in the Islamic State, especially those in the Sinai Province [Wilayat Sinai].”

He then switches to Russian to hail the downing of the Russian passenger plane, which he claims was retribution for Moscow’s airstrikes on Syrian soil, which began last month against the group and others opposed to Syrian President Bashar Assad.

“We will crush those infidels, we will drive them out of our lands and we will even reach their own lands,” the Russian-speaking IS member says in the video.

Addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he calls “swine,” the IS member says: “If you thought that by sending your planes, and by mobilizing your soldiers, you could crush our state, let me tell you that you are wrong, and you and your people will regret your actions.”

Waving a knife, he then says, “the plane that we downed in Sinai is the best evidence, you swine.”

The man makes some more boastful threats before saying: “Just as you bombed our innocent people with your planes, we struck your plane and killed 240 of your people.”

The group has insisted it brought down the plane, and published ostensible video footage, without providing evidence of doing so. On Wednesday, it published an audio message saying that it will reveal the details of its attack at the time of its choosing.
